Lucky strike philadelphia3/1/2023 ![]() ![]() The staff dont even know the basic rates for a regular night of bowling, not a party. I called to asked for basic pricing for a lane and no one was able to tell me that. The women, Hope, that I spoke with on the phone was just so rude ( she even hung up on me, then had her boss call me back and she was also rude and continued to talk over me.) The lady Vicky ( event planner) did not provide me with all of the information that I needed and she is never in her office. Honestly, Im currently planning an event and they were my number 1 location but after the service I received I have chosen to go else where. So we went to the bar, asked the bartender to make us a shot she liked. The waittress said she would see what was up and then come back to us. Then the server came and said the 3rd floor was all private parties and we should go to the second. So we went to the bar and the bartender said shed send a server over. There were no signs or anything to indicate this. So then we went to the bar and we were told that it was all private parties on the 2nd floor and we should go up to the 3rd floor. My friend and me sat down on a couch and waited for someone to come to us. I went here on Thursday night for their advertised happy hour, right at 5. I would never book an event here again and I would caution anyone considering booking an event here. We were not provided with enough food, food was delivered and then taken away, our lanes were turned off without any warning while someone was mid-bowl and the service during the event was not good. This is more than 2 months after the event and nothing has been resolved. I have asked that I be contacted by e-mail and the supervisor refuses. I have been trying to speak with her supervisor, Marie now for weeks and we have been playing phone tag. When I contacted her after the party she ignored numerous e-mails from me. When we went to the event, I asked if she was there and the response I received from the staff was that she worked "bankers hours". She never checked in before the party, nor did she check in after the party to see if we were satisfied. Once we paid for the event, I never heard from the event planner, Vicky again. Maybe themed nights or the nights there in general are more fun or better, but not the best impression or experience overall. And after we were done eating, it took over a half hour to even get the check/pay! We stuck around to play pool after that but I dont think wed ever go back again. ![]() They placed the food down without stating which was what, so we had to wait until everyones food arrived to distinguish whos meal was even what. Another half hour or so wait for the food. But It took 40 mins after asking if we could order food to even be able to order. Since my friends and I are younger 20s perhaps they stereotyped us. Otherwise older individuals seemed to have some better service. The waiter was apparently flirting with someone else the whole time which I believe probably didnt help how slow things were. Was there from 11am-5pm and the service was so slow and horrible the whole time and it wasnt even overly busy. Went here with some friends over the weekend (Saturday). ![]() Balk as I might on the general price of a game (up to $10 per person per game I heard!) Lucky Strike accepted responsibility and followed through with their promise to replace my ball. A few weeks and a few emails later, I actually got a check to compensate for a new ball. I was told that I would be reimbursed for the damage. I was very skeptical, because typically, companies couldnt care less about their customers. I brought it up to management and they promised to take care of it. It looked like someone took a hammer and a grudge to it. OF COURSE, my ball was the one to get caught in it, and it spent a few minutes bouncing against that steel, and absolutely destroyed the ball. A random fluke in the machinery dropped a piece of metal onto the ball return in the back of the lane. I brought my own ball, a $250 Storm Sync that wasnt 3 months old. Red in color, which Im not a fan of, but its a party place, not a pool league. I was able to compensate anyway (I was the only serious bowler at the party). The synthetic lanes are well built, and preferred to regular wood lanes. ![]()
